Neuroscience and Cognition

Neuroscience and Cognition

Our academics are using Electroencephalography alongside behavioural and physiological measures to gain new insights into the fine grained neural mechanisms of cognition and thus, enable the development of more accurate predictive models of behaviour. We also investigate the development of neurotypical and non-neurotypical cognition from infancy into adulthood work to explore the impact that disorders have on executive functions, numerical cognition, and a range of memory systems.

Core research topics include:

  • Predictive models of behaviour
  • Autism
  • Developmental dyslexia
  • Development coordination disorder
  • Language impairment
  • Williams Syndrome
