LSBU has nearly 2000 higher and degree apprentices. We offer the widest range of apprenticeship standards of any Higher Education Provider including in architecture, construction, healthcare, digital marketing, town planning and surveying; and we are expanding our offer all the time.
Apprenticeships require that apprentices spend a designated time on the job, in a role related to their subject. They spend 20% of their time learning at LSBU and undertake an End Point Assessment which can also lead to professional accreditation.

These are a selection of the courses that LSBU currently offers:
- ACCA Strategic Business Leader course
- ACCA Strategic Business Reporting course
- ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring
- ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management
Placement Students and Interns
Our Employability team works with businesses that can enable our students to apply their learning to a real world environment through internships and placements. For employers, hosting a student develops a future pipeline of talent, and increases the capacity of their teams to develop and deliver projects.
A placement is a period of work experience, which is undertaken as an integral and assessed part of a student’s course. Graduate internships are short-term periods of work that provide a useful stepping stone for graduates to secure permanent employment whilst helping them develop confidence and soft skills as well as building contacts.
